Andreea is a PhD researcher at Babeș-Bolyai University with a background in social-ecological systems research, soil organic carbon sequestration, and sustainable land use in high nature value areas. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges ecological and social sciences to understand complex environmental challenges. Within SESCARNIVORE, she plays a central role in the design and facilitation of participatory systems mapping workshops with local actors, exploring their perceptions of coexistence dynamics, identifying barriers to harmonious human-wildlife relationships, and examining the role of policy and governance in shaping human-carnivore interactions. Andreea is also engaged in comprehensive data collection, transcription, analysis, and integration into the project’s broader research framework, supporting the co-production of knowledge that informs sustainable coexistence strategies.
